Education Innovation Fest 2010

On the 10th to 14th Oct, I was invited to participate in Education Innovation Fest which is a part of a program in MSC Malaysia Summit 2010 that was held in Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. Thank you to MDec, BTP as well as my school for giving me this opportunitty. As a toddler in education industry, this was really a great platform for me to learn from other best practices in education be it in Malaysia (as 'hulu' as in Hulu Terengganu) or international such as from Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Ireland, South Korea, Thailand and other countries.

This fest is more about sharing knowledge and experiences about how practitioners implementing the ICT initiative in schools. Honestly, everyone understand each other struggles' as they too having the similar (but not the same though) journey too. I am not ALONE, and you too are not alone. I agree that ICT is a great tool in education in order for our next generation survival. A perspective of Excellent Academic Result must be shift to prepare the children to a world that requires Survival of the Fittest. The best example that I can think of right now is Bill Gates. He's a college drop out. But yet, he is one of the richest man by just having Microsoft. It's difficult to change mind set of everyone, but let's just start within ourself first. I don't mind taking baby steps as long as we are walking forward. To where I'm teaching now, although it's an urban school there are still many challenges that I need to overcome. I'm sure for those in rural location it will be much more tougher, rite???..Well, just don't give up. Take it one baby step at a time and I'm sure we'll be reaching eventually. Best of luck for everyone. For me, I really hope I can contribute to my country and make it a better place for the next generation.

p/s: Oops, actually I was one of the speaker in Colloquium 3..I was really nervous and the Hall 3 is really BiG..Btw, thank you to Dashen the Photographer for great snapping!
